A communication problem waiting to be unravelled

At Zen Lounge in the Purley area of Croydon, London, we implemented sophisticated smart tech for not only controlling CCTV right throughout the building but also improving pre-existing TV and sound systems.

The new infrastructure included a 64 Channel 4K Hikvision CCTV system with 32 8MP Hikvision Darkfighter cameras. Centrally, we also upgraded a 16 Channel HD TVi to a 30 Channel IP Hikvision system to enhance the eatery’s audiovisual display TV distribution.

In all, we upgraded a 16-camera system by adding 16 more cameras, ensuring that the CCTV system would ultimately cover the entire restaurant as well as provide a street view.

The challenge

A convoluted restaurant waiting to be updated

Like many business owners, those at Zen Lounge were faced with a security system that technically “worked” but, in many respects, was insecure and cumbersome to use in practice. They also required a general modernisation ‘boost’ across their TV and sound systems.

For example, a security risk assessment conducted by our professionals unveiled holes in the existing security setup – there were many blind spots unable to be covered by the limited number of pre-existing cameras.

We are about stripping away difficult, out-dated systems from commercial properties. This is why we chose to implement smart systems such as the 64 Channel 4K Hikvision CCTV and 32 Channel IP 4K Hikvision system in order to integrate both system and security with audiovisual facilities around the premises.

The Solution

Through upgrading the previous 16-camera CCTV system, we enabled security at this property to enjoy full 4K coverage images throughout the restaurant - facing street view and the Car Park – without any blind spots.

We strengthened the property’s security through the fitting of a 64 Channel 4K Hikvision CCTV System with 32 x 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter Cameras. This was configured with a smart notification system and channelled through 4 AV HDMI Sources, allowing the entire property to be monitored from a multi-screen security room or even from afar via our installed remote view access.

Zen Lounge also wanted to display a list of their services and products so we integrated an audio visual command server to distribute specified campaigns. In the VIP booth, an AV was setup, allowing guests to play consoles and tailor their music and visual entertainment to their tastes. To this effect, Zen was fitted with the latest cutting edge music & sound system allowing for a greater music ambience. This involved the installation of 20 BOSE speakers with professional speaker cables and 12 Samsung 4K televisions.
